School boards are required by state statute to annually publish, prior to January 31, a description of the educational options available to the children residing in the district, including public schools, private schools participating in a parental choice program, charter schools, virtual schools, part-time and full-time enrollment, Early College Credit Program, and options available for home-based private educational programs for students. Educational options are posted on our district’s website under District Information.
The School District of Flambeau offers students who reside in the district a variety of educational options.
The District’s primary educational pathway and instructional program for students involves a progression from 4YK through grade 12, leading to a high school diploma.

Some of the specific education program offered to eligible students who are enrolled in and attending the District’s schools include the following:
- Early childhood special education (for students who are at least 3 years old but not yet school-age)
- Special education for students with disabilities
- English language learner education
- Advanced learner supports
- Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs
- Youth Apprenticeships
- Individualized program and curriculum modifications
- Alternative education program (Grades 10-12)
- Summer school programming
- Rural Virtual Academy (RVA)

Special Needs Scholarship Program
Special needs students who have certain qualifications may be eligible for a private school scholarship. The scholarship is only good for particular private schools, but can be applied for by Flambeau special needs students. The application period opens on July 1.
